Retro City Rampage - It’s finally out! I’ve got it on PS3 and PS Vita, and it is totally crazy. Fun and funny, full of parodies and references to tons of movies and video games, this is all basically the work of mainly one guy, plus some awesome musicians doing the chiptune soundtrack. Definitely check this out, it is on all platforms.
Dead Nation - was one of the best games ever, and I beat that a couple months ago. Now I’ve got the add-on content ‘Road of Devastation’, so… hopefully it is a long ass add-on. They need to make more games with this engine/style.
RED FACTION: GUERILLA
Just bought this, looks pretty cool. I guess it’s 1st person shooter with vehicles? But anyway, I like the trailer because it comes out and tells you: YOU’RE the bad guy, this is what YOU DID, now, YOU’RE IN THE GAME, THIS IS IT.
Which is kind of heavy handed narration technique, if you’re writing like a short story, but is interesting if someone hands you a ‘controller’ and then you’re put into this situation kind of in medias res. That catch can be cool.
Shift 2 - Unleashed - just got this free from @Playstation Plus - It’s awesome so far. Pretty realistic as far as I know, having never driven a car over, um… 80? If you have like 6 gigs on your playstation and playstation plus, download this shiz.
PS Vita - I’ve got mine… so far so good. I would really want to get my game out on a Playstation portable system, and PS3 too. In the future, I would like to see more capability for porting ‘homemade’ games onto these systems. Little Big Planet and ModNation Racers ain’t quite doin’ it for the demands of the revolution. As for right now, you can’t even play flash games (like from Newgrounds.com) on the PS Vita’s web browser because… it doesn’t have flash. Can’t even watch Youtube videos as far as I can tell. Is it for this reason?… So you can’t play other games? Is it a proprietary thing? So maybe you have to buy a tablet, to play other games and watch Youtube vids and other crap… like, this won’t be capable of what it’s actually able to do, just on the off chance you’ll also buy these..
Bought this game today - RAGE - from I.D. software, the creators of the classics of the genre Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein
You’ve gotta love it when the main character of the game is like ten pixels total.
Retro City Rampage looks awesome, and it’s coming out on PS3 and PS Vita.
Gotta get me one of them Vitas.
Now on the Playstation Network
